Many Hats Make Decisions

 redhat_400
Have you ever wondered how the great become great at what they do?

Here are a few “hats” for mental strategies that I found useful when working on a project.

The Hats represent six thinking strategies, as identified by Edward de Bono

The De Bono Hats

White Hat – Information known or needed. The facts only.

Yellow Hat – Positives and benefits of the idea.

Black Hat – Risks and negatives of the idea.

Red Hat – Feelings and intuitions of the idea.

Green Hat – Alternatives and possiblities.

Blue Hat – Manage the process (drive the meetings)
